PLASMA CUTTING - FAST AND PRECISE SOLUTION FOR OUR CUSTOMERS IN CUTTING FERROUS MATERIALS

The method of plasma cutting is based on utilization of temperature and dynamic effects of plasma. Plasma is thermal, high-temperature, electricity conductive gas. Recombination of atoms and molecules out of the plasmatic nozzle of the system, the plasma quickly releases the accepted energy and increases the thermal effect onto the machined object. The temperatures in plasmatic arc reach up to 30 000°C, plasma reaches the speed of sound in the direction of the machined object. This allows to use very high cutting speed depending on the material and its thickness. The material is melted and the molten metal, together with oxygen are exhausted from the cutting place by plasma gas. Due to high density of plasma as well as temperature, it is possible to apply this technology to almost all ferrous materials, however only to a certain thickness of material. The thicker the material, the lower pressure of plasma gas. This method is suitable for cutting of edges, outlines, multiplied cutting (using more torches), cutting of openings, intermittent cutting etc.

Our customers are offered plasma cutting on CNC cutting centre RUR 2500, which is suitable for maximum cutting dimensions up to 2000 x 6000 mm, standard steel up to 65 mm and stainless steel up to 50 mm. CNC RUR 2500 contains cutting machine with both side guideway, and high performance servo drives for fast and precise cutting. The machine contains plasma source Hypertherm HPR 260. The whole cutting centre is served by 2 tons lifting device.
The programmer is able to transmit the whole cutting plans into the cutting centre through cable even from a distant location. These two work places are thus able to work completely independently.
